Main Street Committee

The Purpose of the Flemingsburg Main Street Program:

The city of Flemingsburg will plan for and strive to maintain a clean, safe, well-governed, well-managed, environmentally pleasant community with an infrastructure of high quality.




The Approach:

The Flemingsburg Main Street Committee works with the Four Point Program developed by the National Trust for Historic Preservation.



These Four Points are:

• Organization: Develop a committee that works to maintain a consistent revitalization program.


• Promotion: Re-establish and maintain downtown Flemingsburg as a vibrant and
  attractive place to live, work, shop, and play.


• Design: Improve the physical appearance of the downtown area.


• Economic Restructuring: Strengthen the community's existing economic assets, while expanding and diversifying its economic base.
