Every year Kentucky offers free fishing days the first weekend in June. No license is required for residents or non-residents to fish in any Kentucky waters, but all fishing regulations remain in effect. The Kentucky Arts Council welcomes the residents of Maysville and the surrounding area for an afternoon reception from 3:30 – 4:30 PM, Friday, June 25, 2010, at the Washington Opera House Ballroom, 116 W. Second St, Maysville, Ky.
The reception is an opportunity for artists, representatives from arts organizations, educators, community leaders and interested citizens to meet board and staff members of the Kentucky Arts Council and for the arts council to learn about arts activities, tourism and economic development and arts education programs in the region.
The reception follows the quarterly meeting of the governing board of directors of the Kentucky Arts Council, which is scheduled for noon – 3:30 p.m. Both the reception and the meeting are open to the public.
