On Thursday, April 1st from 9 AM – 3 PM, the Fleming County Extension Service will sponsor Egg Day for Kids at the Fleming Co. Extension Office. A fee will be charged of $5.00 for each child. Egg Day for Kids is limited to 20 children maximum. You will learn the art of decorating, cooking, and making crafts using the incredible edible egg! Lunch will be provided.

Come and enjoy the fun with 4-H Food-A-Rama. What is Food-a-Rama you ask? Food-A-Rama is a fun, educational event where you can prepare whatever type of food that you like and enter it in a tasting contest. Entries will be judged, awards given and every participant will get a copy of all recipes entered to share with your families.
There are 6 food categories (Breads, Main Course Dishes, Appetizers, Healthy Dish, Vegetables, and Desserts) and 2 age categories (ages 9 - 13 and 14 - 19).

Just in time for the Easter Holiday, the Fleming County Extension Homemakers are hosting a Bake Sale on Friday, April 2nd in front of the People’s Bank Main Branch Office. Over 4,000 Eggs filled with candy or toys will be hidden for girls and boys under the age of 12 to hunt. There will be 4 different age categories for children: 0-2, 3-5, 6-8 & 9-12. Eggs for each category will be hidden in different locations surrounding the Pioneer Museum. Prizes awarded for those that find the 1st, 2nd, 3rd place eggs and “special” eggs in each category. A.A.R.P. in Kentucky is now offering a 4-hour Driver Safety Program. This program is a refresher course for drivers aged 50 or older. This course will remind us of the changes in us, vehicles, roads, laws, etc. that have occurred since we started driving and how to compensate for these changes caused by age. No tests are given during this program.
This Driver Safety Program course completion qualifies you for an insurance discount, consult your insurance agent for further details.
A.A.R.P. Driver Safety Program is scheduled on April 29 at 12 noon at Fleming County Extension Office, 1384 Elizaville Road, Flemingsburg, KY 41041. The fee will be $12 for A.A.R.P. members and $14 for non-members. The class is sponsored by Fleming County Extension Service. The instructor is Robert Emmons of Maysville, KY.
