12/1 - 2   Golden Chords Annual Sacred Concert: "Chosen Ones"
Saturday, Dec. 1st at 7 PM at Mill Creek Christian Church (Highway 11) and Sunday, Dec. 2nd at 5 PM at Flemingsburg First United Methodist Church (117 W. Main Street).
No admission fee, but a love offering will be received each night. Refreshments will be served in the fellowship hall following the Sunday evening performance. Concert will include a mixture of sacred and seasonal music.
 
12/4   Quarter Auction
Doors open at 6:00 and the auctions starts at 6:30. Admission is FREE and paddles are $1 each. Our Quarter Auctions are a fun way to spend the evening while helping local charities with their fundraisers. Charity for December is Beta Sigma Phi. For more information, call 748-0798. It's a great opportunity for Christmas shopping and you might go home with a $100 item for 4 quarters! (6 PM)

12/6   Entrepreneurs' Holiday Bazaar at Ward Elementary School
December 6, 2012 6:30 - 8:00
Through the E-Discovery program, students in 2nd-6th grade are becoming entrepreneurs. Teams of students have conducted research and developed products to sell. Many teams are using recycled materials in order to reduce their production cost. They are learning essential economics and
practical living skills through this project. Teams are producing products to sell at the bazaar. After the sale, students will repay loans made for supplies and calculate their profits. Each team will divide the provides. Any profit will go directly to the students. This is not a school fund raiser. The goal is to show students that if they have a sellable product, a sound business plan, and some hard work, they can start a profitable business. Please come out and support our young entrepreneurs and show them that their hard work really pays off. (6:30 - 8 PM)
 
12/7   Friendship Night & Christmas Parade
Parade starts at 5:30 PM (line-up starting at 5 PM behind Double S Entertainment)
Santa and caroling around the Christmas tree after the parade at grounds of the First Presbyterian Church of Flemingsburg (Corner of W. Main & W. Water Streets). We will also be drawing the first Chamber Bucks winners at that time. The Covered Bridge Museum will be open during the parade, starting at 5 pm - FREE admission. Please shop & eat at our downtown businesses! In case of rain, the Christmas Parade and other Friendship Night activities will be canceled. There will be no rain date scheduled. 12/15   Pictures with Santa this Saturday, December 15th, from 10-12:00 at Fleming County Public Library. Pictures are free and will be e-mailed the following week. We will also be watching the Polar Express, writing letters to Santa, making reindeer food, playing trains, and lots of other fun holiday activities. Bring your special little ones out for some Saturday morning holiday fun! For more information, please call 845-7851. (10 AM - 12 PM)

The Flemingsburg Ministerial Association is holding a service of scripture lessons and carols
celebrating the joy of the Christmas season. The service will be at 7 pm at the Flemingsburg Christian Church on Thursday, December 20th. All are invited and welcome to hear and sing the story of God’s redeeming love in Christ Jesus. (7 PM)
