10/1   The September / October 2012 Chamber Newsletter is now available online
 
10/2   Quarter Auction
Doors open at 6:00 and the auctions starts at 6:30. Admission is FREE and paddles are $1 each. Our Quarter Auctions are a fun way to spend the evening while helping local charities with their fundraisers. Charity for October is Fleming Co. Girls Softball. For more information, call 748-0798. It is not too early for Christmas shopping and you might go home with a $100 item for 4 quarters! (6 PM)
 
10/2 - 23   Hospice of Hope will be hosting a free 4-week educational group for those who have lost a loved one. It is a way to meet and support others who are struggling with grief, as well as learn about the specific challenges related to the loss of a loved one. It will be held the first four Tuesdays in October (the 2nd, the 9th, the 16th, and the 23rd) from 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm, at our Maysville office (909 Kenton Station Drive, Maysville, KY). Gates will open Friday at 5:00 p.m. Admission is $10 and is available only at the gate on event night. Children 6 and under are admitted free.

6:45 p.m. - Bobby Davis & The Sounds of Haggard
9:00 p.m. - Daryle Singletary - Singletary has had numerous chart topping hits including “Let Her Lie”, “Too Much Fun” and “The Note”.

Tickets for the Saturday portion of the festival are just $20 in advance, $25 at the gate on show day. Gates will open at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Children 6 and under are free. Children 7 – 12 years of age will be admitted for $10. Hoedown in the Holler is owned and organized by Blonde Marketing.

Camping for the weekend is available. All 300 campsites include water and electric hookups. Reservations for campsites are currently being accepted.

10/5 - 6   Hinton Mills 7th Annual Feed Days
We hope that you will be able to attend Hinton Mills' 7th annual Feed Days customer appreciation event - please note that we are only having events at two locations this fall (although we will have events at all four locations for Seed Days in February):
**Friday, October 5th
May’s Lick Mill – 7:30 AM till 3 PM
and
**Saturday, October 6th
Fleming County Farm Supply – 7:30 AM till 2 PM
We would like to invite you to attend both or either location if your schedule permits. There will be opportunities to visit with many of our customers, employees and vendors throughout each day. Local FFA programs will serve lunch each day.
 
10/6 - 7   Fleming County Court Days
In downtown Flemingsburg
Sat, Oct. 6th, from 8 AM - Dusk

Sun, Oct. 7th, from 8 AM - 4 PM
FREE to all!
Music will be a large part of this year’s event.
Artists scheduled to perform include: Blake Ishmael, Mike King, Mandie Cooper (a member of the Ohio Opry), The Grannis Family Band and Ripple Effect.
There will be a street dance with a live band on Saturday evening.
As usual, there will be various vendors, delicious food and a corn hole tournament.
 
10/6   On Saturday, October 6th, Hospice of Hope will have its 2nd annual 5K for FHSSA, (the Foundation for Hospices in Sub-Saharan Africa). Participants will have the option to run a 5K race, or join a 2 mile walk. Both events will begin promptly at 9:00 am (registration at 8:00 am) at Limestone Landing in downtown Maysville. Pre-registration forms and the $15 fee are due by September 21. Registration after September 21, including the morning of the event, will be $20. An outdoor country farm fine dining experience sponsored by River Valley Agritourism Alliance

The cost is $15.00 for adults and $10.00 for students this includes a dri-fit shirt. To guarantee sizes please register early.
