1/4   Scrapbook Croppers meet at FC Extension Office
Anyone wanting to crop and prepare scrapbooking pages and more, come join in the fun on the first Friday evening of each month from 4pm to 10pm.

Learn new ideas and scrapbooking skills and make new friends. These evenings will begin on Friday, January 4, 2013 at 4 p.m. – 10 p.m. at Fleming Co. Extension Office.

Bring with you the following supplies:
· scrapbooking supplies
· a snack to share with group
· completed projects you might want to share
· questions or project plans to ask the group

1/8   Quarter Auction
Doors open at 6:00 and the auctions starts at 6:30. Admission is FREE and paddles are $1 each. Our Quarter Auctions are a fun way to spend the evening while helping local charities with their fundraisers. Charity for January is FC Youth Cheerleaders. 1/10   Facebook Class at FC Public Library

1/10   Upcycled Clothing Accessories class at the FC Extension Office, 1/10 starting at 6 PM. Bring a shirt, sweater, pants to be made into something more useful

DEFINITION - UPCYCLE: To reuse (discarded objects or material) in such a way as to create a product of a higher quality or value than the original.
Each month a special class will be held on a upcycle topic on the second Thursday night of each month (except February) starting at 6pm.
As you are cleaning, organizing your home this winter, think about ways that you can recreate unused items you have around the home that will make them more useful. The following sessions will be held at the Fleming County Extension Office.

SNOW POLICY: All extension programming at the office or out in the county will be cancelled or delayed based on the Fleming County School System’s snow schedule. If there is any question, please call the Extension Office to confirm the meeting before traveling and as always, BE SAFE! (6 PM)

1/14   "Where Does Your Money Go?" program being offered by the FC Extension Office on Jan. 14th, starting at 10 AM.

Does your money run out before the end of the month? Is it difficult to pay your bills on time? Do you wish you had more money? If you answered, “YES,” then attend one of the “Where Does Your Money Go?” programs being offered at the Fleming County Extension office.

A two hour program that helps you work through a budgeting plan and learn some new money management tips is being offered once a month.

This program is free and open to the public. Please contact the Extension office at 845-4641 to register. (10 AM)
 
1/17   Learn at Lunch - Advanced Quickbooks by Brian Leedy. This will be a follow-up to the beginning Quickbooks session we offered in January of 2012. It will be held at the Fleming Co. Extension Office starting at 11:30 AM. Cost is $10 per person, which includes both the workshop session and lunch, catered by Baked by Brooke. 1/17   Career Transitions Class at FC Public Library
Jan. 17th at 2 PM. Experience our fantastic new database devoted to workforce development, education, training and employment. It offers a variety of sources to explore and enhance your skills, write resumes & cover letters, get tips about applying and interviews (even interview simulation) and actually find jobs matching your designated parameters (job type, distance, date posted, etc. There is a brief description of each job, job duties, location, requirements, salary, along with the date it was posted, and a link to view or apply for the position. 1/27   Reception to welcome new 4-H agent at FC Extension Office
The Fleming County Cooperative Extension Service is pleased and excited to announce that we have a new 4-H /Youth Development agent - Staci Thrasher. Please welcome Staci and her family at this reception in her honor on Sunday, January 27th from 2 – 4 pm at the Fleming County Extension office. The public is welcome to attend. 1/29   4-H Horse Enrollment Night
The Fleming County 4-H Program is pleased to announce it will be hosting a 4-H Horse Enrollment / Orientation meeting on January 29th from 6pm-7pm at the Extension Office. We are beginning the process of re-establishing this component of the 4-H program and any Fleming County youth ages 9-19 are eligible for membership. The enrollment night is an opportunity to learn more about the future of the 4-H horse program and it is highly encouraged that, both parents and 4-H members interested in participating, attend this meeting to gather the information presented.
