1/31   Be a Book Cook at the Fleming Co. Extension Office
The Be A Book Cook program will start on January 31st, at the Fleming Co. Extension Office at 6 PM. We have activities for each child to participate in, and we talk about hand washing before cooking or eating. The first 10 families who sign-up and attend receive a copy of the featured book. Children and parents love it. Look for our notices in the newspapers.

Children ages 3-5 are encouraged to attend, but they need to bring an adult with them, either a parent or child care provider. As a part of Be A Book Cook program, the children learn a cooking skill that goes along with the book. The book to be featured is “If You Give a Cat a Cupcake”, by Laura Numeroff. So come and join us and see what happens in the book and help us make a snack. Each family will go home with a packet of information and activities for the parents and children to work on together. This program is free and open to the public.

To reserve your child’s place or any questions about the program, please contact Gwen O’Cull, Fleming Co. Extension Office at 845-4641 or Mary Rushing, Fleming County Public Library at 845-7851. The Be A Book Cook program is funded by KIDS NOW through The Fleming County Early Childhood Council and provided by the Fleming County Cooperative Extension Agency and the Fleming County Public Library.
