Visit Blue Licks on the first Friday of every month when they serve an all-you-can-eat seafood buffet, including unlimited soup and salad bar for $27.99 + tax + beverage. Their Seafood Buffet includes all-you-can-eat crab legs, fried fish, and an ever-changing variety of other seafood entrées. They even serve items for the land lovers in your family, like pasta, roast beef & gravy, and fried chicken. Of course, this also includes their fabulous dessert bar. Buffet is served from 4pm-close. Keep warm this winter with the “as seen on TV” blanket with sleeves customized just for you. With 3 yards of fleece, thread, and a sewing machine you can make a sleeved blanket that is thicker than the commercial version, and customized to your own height and sleeve length, in the color and style you like best. You can add pockets, trim or fastenings to suit anyone.
This is an easy to sew, fun project for any age. A workshop to create your own blanket will be held on January 12, 2010, at 6 PM at the Fleming County Extension office. Are you interested in participating in a 4-H Livestock project for the 2009-2010 4-H program year? If so, you must participate in a minimum of 6 instructional education hours. Educational instructional classes are taught by Mary Jane Pettit, Certified Coach. Classes begin on January 14th at 6 PM at the Fleming County Extension Office. Shake off the cold, winter weather when you warm up by the fire and enjoy a comforting, hearty meal. This all-you-can-eat buffet allows you to sample a variety of chili’s, such as Turkey Chili, Firehouse Chili, Tri-County Chili, and more. Smother your favorite foods like pasta, burgers, burritos, hot dogs, and basically anything else you can create and cover with chili. Make it anyway you want it with a variety of toppings: sour cream, chopped onions, cheddar cheese, jalapenos, nachos, etc. Served with salads and a variety of desserts including a variety of Homemade Cobblers, Brownies topped with Hot Fudge, and a special Fried, Flaky, Cinnamon Dessert. The Be A Book Cook program will hold the first session on January 19th, at the Fleming Co. Extension Office, on Elizaville Road across from Fleming-Mason Energy at 6:00 PM. The Snow date, if needed, will be on January 26th at 6 PM. Children ages 3-5 are encouraged to attend, but they need to bring an adult with them, either a parent or child care provider. As a part of Be A Book Cook program, the children learn a cooking skill that goes along with the book.
The featured book is “Gingerbread Cowboy”, so come and join us and see what happens in the book and help us make a snack. Each family will go home with a packet of information and activities for the parents and children to work on together. The first ten families to sign up will also be presented with the featured book. This program is free and open to the public. To reserve your child’s place or any questions about the program, please contact Gwen O’Cull, Fleming Co. The Be A Book Cook program is funded by KIDS NOW through The Fleming County Early Childhood Council and provided by the Fleming County Cooperative Extension Agency and the Fleming County Public Library.

We’ve centered this entire buffet around our most requested entrées: Catfish! Enjoy all you can eat fried catfish, lemon pepper broiled catfish, spicy Cajun catfish, catfish nuggets, and catfish fiddlers…but that’s not all! We’ll also have Licking River frog legs, river bank fried potatoes with onion, frog pond tarter sauce, hot slaw, fried cornbread, corn on the cob, green bean casserole, and of course our signature salad bar and desserts. Would you like to have a sturdy carrier to transport your favorite dish to a potluck meal? Come to this class and learn to make your own. This is an easy-to-sew, fun project for any age.

Join area musicians on the last Monday of each month from 6pm-8pm for a relaxed evening of fun, friends, and music. You never know who will show up! This is an informal and unstructured event. It is open to all musicians and to the general public. There is no cost to attend this event as a performer or an audience member. Come early and enjoy a meal at Hidden Waters Restaurant.

Learn the basic of sewing as you sew a pair of pajama bottoms. Cutting out a pattern and basic machine stitching will be covered.
