Chamber Office Closed | | | | 1/19 - 9 | WINTER SESSION OF ART CLASSES BEGIN JANUARY 19TH AT BANANA TREE STUDIOS
Monday January 19th begins the next 8-week session of evening art classes at Banana Tree Studios in Flemingsburg. Classes are limited to 6-8 students, beginners to advanced. Classes are in the evenings and begin at 6:00 pm for drawing and ceramics and 6:30 for watercolor. All classes are $110 for 2 ˝ hrs. per week for eight weeks. Gift certificates are available.
Instructors will be Susan Doyle for Drawing, Kim McKisson for Watercolor, and Ken Macht for Ceramics.

An advanced course designed just for farm women in Bracken, Fleming, Lewis, Mason, and Robertson Counties. It will cover Soil Fertility, Forages, Financial Management, and Farm Transition/Estate Planning. Meals sponsored by Farm Credit Services. Registration fee is $30 for printed materials. Parents, please plan on attending this meeting.

SATURDAY, JANUARY 31 and SUNDAY FEBRUARY 1
On January 31st we will hold a weekend workshop teaching a technique used in watercolor and pastel. Kathy Johnson of Lexington/Carlisle will guide participants in a method using a watercolor under painting with pastel overlay. There are a variety of interactions one can use with this technique - its up to your creativity.
Kathy has a BA in Art History from the University of Kentucky and studied under Fay Moore. The technique Kathy will show the class is the method she learned from Fay Moore.
This class will offer beginners a chance to try their hand at painting and advanced students to experiment with the interaction of the two mediums as well as texture and depth. Everyone will go home with a painting and a new technique.
There are limited spaces available for this workshop. Be sure to sign up early. The workshop is $65. Class on Saturday is 9:00 to 4:00 and Sunday 1:00 to 4:00 Call 606-845-7408 for more information.
