Leadership Horizons, Inc. recognizes that leadership development is an essential element in the process of improving our region and is promoted by the Maysville-Mason Co. Area Chamber of Commerce, the Fleming County Chamber of Commerce and Graduates of the program. The sessions assist participants in developing an awareness of the assets and strengths of the area as well as problems and challenges faced in the region. Leadership Horizons provides an opportunity for participants to network and develop contacts that can assist them, both personally and collectively, in becoming a strong, positive influence on the future of local communities and the region.
Participation in Leadership Horizons is open to residents of Bracken, Fleming, Lewis, Mason, and Robertson counties in Kentucky and Brown and Adams counties in Ohio. A maximum of 25 individuals will be accepted to participate in the program annually.
Applications must be received by August 2, 2010. Those selected will be notified by mail and the first session will begin in September. Click on the link below for more information and an application.

There is going to be a six-hour Day Camp for Kids at the Fleming County Extension Office on July 15th from 9 AM to 3 PM. Kids will have the opportunity to learn about some easy grilling techniques as well as making some fun crafts. Lunch is included in the $5.00 registration fee and will be prepared by the students that attend, with the help of Fleming County Extension Staff. Day Camp is for youth of all ages. The class size is limited to the first 20, so get your name registered early by calling the Fleming County Extension Office at 845-4641 by no later than the registration deadline of July 9.
